    Hi Everyone!

    As reported from There Staff, Adobe Flash Player will stop working in the beginning of 2021. It is important to be patient as There staff works on these repairs. I understand that it will be frustrating with limited stuff we will be able to have access to, but give them time and report the problems to There. Below, I have written down FAQ about the recent Adobe Flash changes. I hope these will answer your questions.


    1. Why is Adobe Flash Player ending?

      1. The decision to end support for Flash Player was made by Adobe due to the diminished usage of the technology and the availability of better, more secure options such as HTML5, WebGL, and WebAssembly. You can read more about it here.

    2. When is Flash Shutting down?

      1. According to Adobe's FAQ, they stated ?Since Adobe is no longer supporting Flash Player after the EOL Date, Adobe will block Flash content from running in Flash Player beginning January 12, 2021 to help secure users? systems. Flash Player may remain on the users system unless the user uninstalls it.
      2. This means they will block flash on January 12th, 2021.

    3. What does this mean for us?

      1. When There was developed back in 2003, Flash was the main source of technology to run the virtual world. The end of 2009 and the beginning of 2010, There was in the process of removal of Flash. During that time beta testers were testing the QT Client (which we use now) to replace the Flash on the client. Right now the main There client that we use does not run on Flash. However, there are some components in the client that still uses Flash.

    4. What will NOT on There?

          2. Gin
          3. Habanero Holdem
          4. Hearts
          5. Motu Motu
          6. Spades

        3. Change Me
        4. Communicator

          2. Basic Compass

        6. Fun Finder
        7. Messenger Bar

          1. Instant Message Notification

            1. You can set your IM to Auto Accept by going to? There > Customize > Chat > Accepting IMs > Always Accept IMs From Everyone.

          2. Teleport Notification
          3. Event Notification
          4. Layout Change Notification
          5. Clearing Layout Notification
          6. Dice/Coin Notification

        8. Quickbar
        9. Volume

          1. You can change the volume in settings. There > Settings > Audo/Video

    7. When will this be fixed?

      1. There's no answer to that. When they announce that information it will be posted on the Blog and on There Official Facebook Page.
